IYN9 EP3 Teaser

Northumberland resident Jesse Johnson is a Bloomsburg University Junior and has been legally blind since birth. He decided to join an effort to build prosthetic hands last year as a way of giving back. He and Jake Latchum have built a hand for a seven-year-old from Washington State and hope to help out more people in the future using 3-D printers at the university.

Plus, Two residents of the Riverwoods are doing a little building of their own these days, making wooden objects to sell on campus for the benevolent fund which helps other residents. Dick Stover has been working in the campus’ woodshop for 16 years while Roy Ashby has been here for six. You can find out why they’re concerned for the shop’s future, and about the curveball in the segment on the prosthetic hands when you tune in to In Your Neighborhood Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30 and 9:30 and Saturdays and Sundays at 1 and 4:30. That’s right here on SECV8, exclusively on Service Electric Cablevision channels 8 and 508 HD.
